A glorious slice of up-river, down-town chic. Gins Barn is tucked in tight where the Beaulieu River joins the Solent and is so close to the sea is a sailing landmark. With it’s own private jetty leading out to one of the few privately owned rivers in the world there is no denying that this is an elite address. To the south is a private conservation wetland reserve, deep in clouds of chattering migratory birdlife and fields of wild ponies – all silhouetted at champagne-o’clock under big-sky sunsets and towering storms from the English Channel.
The barn has a rural bohemian feel, topped by huge oak beams in the ceilings. Bright windowed double doors bring in light from both sides. The North facing door leads out to a secluded courtyard with outdoor seating, the South facing door leads out to the grounds and breathtaking views of of the neighbouring private conservation land. The lightly distressed walls are romantically lit, and one end of the barn houses an oversized glowing wood burner.
When empty the barn can seat up to 40 for dinner and drinks. The designer furniture can be kept or removed to suit you. The space comes with it's own piano that you're welcome to hire a player for but it can not be moved.
